Join us November 17th for an evening of wine, cheese, and shopping at the boutique, Fason De Viv, in Old City Philadelphia. (The name means "Life Style" in Haitian Creole.) Meet owner and designer, Hanifah Samad, and discover her designs, sewn by her mother and sold in her store. Women of all ages will enjoy Hanifah's clothes and merchandise for most any occasion from casual to business to cocktail parties.
This event will also serve as a drop-off night to take donations for the "Help A Haitian" campaign. Hanifah and her mother were born and raised in Haiti, and are asking for donations in response to the hurricane that has devastated their homeland. Their goal is to fill up four 55 gallon drums with items from this list:
Baby diapers, baby wipes, infant formula, dust mask, plastic sheeting, duct tape, water purifiers, flash lights, batteries, candles, first aid items, blankets, limited clothing, any dry goods, garbage bags, and tools.
And if you cannot make the date, please consider joining us in the spirit of generosity by dropping off your donations any time at 228 Arch St. Hanifah is a young woman with a great eye for fashion and a big heart.
