Description

We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, design, and layout of our website, along with managing SEO, Google Merchant Center, and Google indexing to ensure our products and site are fully optimized for search and discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.

  • Create website layout/user interface using standard HTML/CSS practices.

  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.

  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

  • Create and maintain software documentation.

  • Maintain, expand, and scale the company website.

  • Cooperate with designers to match visual design intent.

  • Manage SEO strategy, edits, and implementation.

  • Manage Google Merchant Center listings and ensure accurate product feed data.

  • Monitor and manage Google indexing to ensure site pages are properly crawled and indexed.

  • Stay current on emerging web technologies and industry trends.

Requirements and Skills

  • 3+ years of proven experience in web programming.

  • Strong programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.

  • Familiarity with at least one of the following: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, or Ruby on Rails.

  • Solid understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices.

  • Working knowledge of relational database systems and object-oriented programming.

  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools and Google Search Console.

  • Experience managing Google Merchant Center and product feed indexing.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within timeline and budget constraints.

  • Ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new tools and technologies.

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
